Ridgewood has many opportunities to help facilitate and foster the desire to become more like Christ.
Fellowship Luncheon
A church wide weekly fellowship luncheon is held every Sunday at 12noon.
 |
Our weekly fellowship luncheon is called Cafe Logos. Cafe Logos promotes intergenerational fellowship and is held on the gym floor in the Family Life Center around tables. The whole church is able to further discuss the message just proclaimed in the worship gathering around the context of true biblical community and fellowship with a meal. Cafe Logos provides a wonderful opportunity for guests to get immediately connected to the family at Ridgewood.

R.E.A.L (Reshaping Every Area of Life)
A R.E.A.L. Group is made up of two or three people, all of the same gender, who meet weekly for personal accountability for their spiritual growth and development. The groups can meet at anytime and anywhere. R.E.A.L. Groups allow for community, accountability, confidentiality, flexibility, and reproducibility.
Titus 2 Wednesday Nights
Titus 2 Wednesday Nights are where the older men of Ridgewood teach the younger men and boys, while the older women teach the younger women and girls. Recapturing the essence of biblical manhood and biblical womanhood is the focus of Titus 2 discipleship.
FOCUS 21
FOCUS 21 is the philosophical statement and commitment to the
family unit in the 21st century. F stands for our desire to facilitate opportunities for families to worship together. O teaches the order that God has for
the family unit. C represents the convictions needed by families to be different in our day. U brings understanding for each individual helping them properly relate to others. S means service because we believe a family that serves together stays together. Below are a few opportunities for families when they attend throughout the week..
- Households are equipped to do home worship & training.
- Resources for family development are available.
- Cafe Logos, an inter-generational fellowship is offered for the entire family on Sundays at noon.
- Families are encouraged to sit together in all worship services. (Children are welcome in the gathering because that is where they belong).
- Bi-monthly men's Saturday morning breakfast.
- Bi-monthly church wide Friday night support group.
- Households participate and lead out during the weekly gathering.
- Titus 2 offers courses that are specifically focused on instilling biblical manhood and biblical womanhood.
- On a regular basis families can serve together and partake in community mission projects.
- Men of the church are actively involved in the weekly gatherings.
Children's and Youth Ministry Statement
Parents are responsible for the discipleship and discipline of their children. The church should not usurp the authority of godly parents, nor assume the responsibilities of parents who are lax in their duties. The church should give itself to teaching the biblical principles of parenthood and to holding parents accountable to carry them out in the context of families. |
